Escape from Vancouver!

Presumably, Vancouver hotels market their guestrooms primarily to out-of-towners, but there's also an opportunity to capture some revenue from local residents. That's the purpose of this ad. It promises a quick hit of luxury for the Vancouverite who needs a short, restorative break - not a full-fledged foreign excursion - via a one-night stay at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. It's targeted to the local short-stay market in BC's Lower Mainland.
The Hotel Vancouver is a striking architectural feature of downtown Vancouver, and this shot makes it look magical and intriguing. The copy reminds Vancouverites that not only tourists can experience the hotel's luxury, and frames the opportunity in a convenient one-night package. It spells out specific details of the package to make it that much more tangible - and suggests that it is possible to step away briefly from our day-to-day work and family demands without leaving the city.
